Gulmi is a hill district of Nepal. It is at the western region bordering by Palpa district at southern, Baglung and Pyuthan in the northern, Syangja eastern and Arghakhanchi at western part. Tamghas is district headquarter of this district which has been linked with paved road though there are many muddy roads linked with its VDCs. Only very few VDCs have the facility of electricity. Ridi bazaar and Resunga are religiously very famous. Resunga and Ridi have more potentiality for tourism in future.Resunga is a high hill and jungle where we can find many Hindu religious Temples and saints. Badagaun VDC where I was born is 30 KM far from the district headquarters. This is biggest VDC of Gulmi in terms of geographic area. Badagaun seems very mixed up in terms of caste dimension. Mainly Bishwakarma, Sarki, Damai, Brahmin, Chhetri, Magars, Kumal are living in this VDC.
